My name is Jen. I studied humans to design for humans.
I am a junior at Stanford University studying Symbolic Systems in the human-centered artificial intelligence concentration, where I explore the intersection between computer science, design, and psychology.
Prior to my third year of college, I was on the pre-law track studying political science and philosophy, hoping to decipher the root of contemporary problems like inaccessible healthcare and education to develop empathetic solutions. I used my voice as a catalyst for change, either through journalism, public speaking, or my own initiatives, and to empower and listen to those who don’t have their own.
More than a policy change, technology has become my new outlet for taking in diverse perspectives to produce impactful and thoughtful results. With an extensive background in both working with people and computer science, I have transferred my problem-solving and leadership skills over to intentional product development in every stage of the process, from researching user needs to planning and executing a vision.
When I’m not lost in my own fictional writing or stuck debugging, I’m probably at a music festival or mixing (you can call me DJen), creating motion graphics in After Effects, playing video games (Valorant!), or making boba (and of course, drinking it).
Thanks for stopping by!
